With that in mind, we would love to introduce you to our newest supplier As Colour! This company started in New Zealand and has expanded over the years to work around the world. As Colour produces high quality basics and strives to uphold a high social responsibility and standard. They are transparent throughout their entire supply chain from the origin of their cotton to yarn spinners, to the dye houses, to the final garment suppliers. As a company, they recognize their responsibility to protect their workers throughout the entire production process. Their production takes place in Bangladesh and China and their factories are visited regularly by As Colour Staff. They even have employed an Ethical Sourcing Specialist to support this and educate workers on Human Rights. Their factories also go through a rigorous auditing process to ensure the employees have a safe working environment and are being compensated a living wage. As Colour has traceability in their cotton sourcing and are members of the Better Cotton Initiative which exists to make the cotton production better for workers and the environment. They also strive to invest in the local communities they work in through charity partners to educate employees, especially women in the workplace and provide important resources.
